FAQs:
Can I bring my pet?
No, pets are NOT allowed at the fairgrounds.
Not even my Chihuahua in my purse?
The fairgrounds policy is no pets. You'll have to leave them at home.
Can I bring in something to drink?
You may bring in closed (sealed) bottles of water or soda ONLY. No outside alcohol is allowed into the fairgrounds, and no open containers are allowed out the gate. This wine festival is under a Public Celebration Permit for wineries only and no other type of alcohol may be consumed on site as per NM State law.
Can I bring my children?
Is there anything for them to do? You may bring YOUR children and those for whom you are the legal guardian, but not those that aren't your own. You
MAY NOT bring your niece/nephew/neighbor/friend of your child. There are activities for children including slides, face painting and toys for sale.
What if it rains?
Please visit
www.weather.com and enter the zip code 88005. This is the zip code for the Fairgrounds and often you will find it is raining in Las Cruces or El Paso or Deming, but not at the fairgrounds. Our summer storms are sporadic and pass quickly. The festival will not close unless weather is extreme or dangerous. Otherwise, we appreciate the cooling effect of the rain and continue the celebration. There will be no refunds for weather-related reasons.
What sort of payment do you accept?
We take cash and credit cards. Credit card transactions are on the two lines to the east side of the entrance gate. Look for signs.
Can I get tickets in advance?
Yes and we encourage that, especially for Sunday! Click the link below to purchase tickets online. Print your unique ticket and bring it to the festival to be scanned in. When you arrive with a pre-purchased ticket, proceed directly to the front of the line, to the entrance labeled "Online Tickets and Press." You do not need to wait in the long lines. This is especially beneficial on Sunday, our busiest day.
Can I bring my own cooler?
No coolers are allowed at the wine festival.
Interested in working at the Wine Festival?
Do you have an alcohol servers' license? Most wineries do their own hiring, but the Festival maintains lists of those interested in working to put in touch with the wineries. We also need servers for our University of Wine tent. If you have a license, and would like to work, email
Dawn@HelpingHandsEvents.com.
